My approach to Lasting Change
I believe meaningful change begins with understanding—not judgment.
You may have developed certain patterns for very good reasons. Sometimes those patterns helped you survive, cope, protect yourself, or get through difficult circumstances. The problem is that a strategy that once protected you may not continue to serve you as your life changes.
Together, we can begin creating space for new possibilities.
My role is not to tell you who you should be. My role is to help you identify where you want to go, understand what may be standing in the way, and support you as you develop the skills and confidence to move forward.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is another tool I use to help clients create lasting change.
Clinical hypnosis is a focused state of attention that can allow you to become more aware of thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and patterns that may operate outside of your everyday conscious awareness. Contrary to some common misconceptions, hypnosis does not mean giving up control. You remain aware and involved throughout the process.
I use hypnotherapy to complement traditional therapy and help clients work toward personally meaningful goals.
Hypnotherapy may be incorporated into treatment for concerns such as:
-
Anxiety and stress
-
Fear of driving or other specific fears
-
Confidence and self-esteem
-
Healthy lifestyle changes
-
Weight and body-image concerns
-
Overwhelm and emotional regulation
-
Breaking unwanted patterns
-
Relaxation and stress reduction
-
Creating a more positive relationship with yourself
-
Preparing for future goals and life changes
My approach to hypnotherapy is focused on helping you access your own strengths and resources rather than giving you a set of instructions to simply follow. You already possess many of the resources necessary for change; sometimes you need support accessing them.
I empower your personal growth through specialized therapeutic methods for your unique needs.
IEMT
Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a brief, solution-focused approach that explores how we learn to feel the way we do. By using precision eye movements, this technique helps to diffuse the emotional charge associated with past memories and limiting identities, allowing you to move beyond old patterns without the need for extensive storytelling or re-living of difficult events.
I offer IEMT as a powerful way to update your internal programs and emotional responses. This method is particularly effective for addressing feelings that seem 'hard-wired' or stuck, providing a way to create rapid change in how you experience yourself and your history.
IEMT may be beneficial for those navigating:
Recurring negative emotions
Self-limiting identities and beliefs
Intrusive memories or flashbacks
Phobic responses and anxiety
Feeling 'stuck' in certain emotional states
Regret or shame from past experiences
My approach to IEMT is deeply respectful of your privacy and pace. Instead of focusing on the 'why' of a problem, we focus on the 'how' of your emotional experience, using gentle neurological feedback to help your brain process and release the weight of old imprints, fostering a renewed sense of emotional freedom.. This method helps to create Lasting change
Clinical Social Work
Traditional therapy provides a foundation for understanding what is happening in your life and developing practical ways to respond differently.
I use an individualized, collaborative approach rather than relying on a single treatment model. Depending on your needs and goals, therapy may incorporate approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), IEMT, and other therapeutic interventions.
Therapy may be helpful when you are experiencing:
-
Anxiety or depression
-
Trauma or difficult past experiences
-
Anger or emotional regulation difficulties
-
Stress and overwhelm
-
Chronic illness and the emotional impact of health challenges
-
Relationship or life-transition concerns
-
Difficulty with confidence or self-worth
-
Fear and avoidance
-
Unhelpful thought or behavioral patterns
-
Feeling stuck despite knowing you want something different
My goal is to help you develop greater awareness, flexibility, and confidence while building practical skills that you can carry with you outside of therapy.
